OPERA HOUSE STORIES:

I was told by an indigenous elder that the Opera House 'sails' were modeled on shells from Farm Cove and that Utzon sought Aboriginal counsel when working on the design. Is this true? It seems as if Australia's caucasian population thinks it's an urban myth, but our indigenous comrades swear it's true. So - are they sails or shells?
